A dystopian adaptation of Romeo and Juliet set in the year 2035. Tech giant MESMER unveils their most advanced human-like Artificial Intelligence entity, REMI (Responsive Emotional Machine Interface). Depressed beta-tester Jacob (Romeo) falls in love with REMI (Juliet) in the virtual world of Revery, becoming increasingly obsessed with her and his grasp on reality starts to dangerously falter.

MESMER LAB

Jacob is monitored in the test lab. Data on his movements, play choices and physiological reactions are observed and collected by a Mesmer employee stationed in the connecting office.
